Our Vision

Helmet therapy.

VETMotorsports uses motorsports as an inspiration to propel veterans forward, to encourage veterans to find their strengths, motivations, and personal inspiration. We are not a race team, but use existing team structures to provide much-needed non-clinical outreach. Since 2013, VETMotorsports has effectively capitalized on our relationships and collaborations within the veteran and motorsports communities. Our commitment is to share our passion and strengths with those who have given so much but have asked for so little.

Our first priority is to stay true to our mission and maintain the trust of the veteran community. Those two cornerstones, coupled strategy for sustainability since COVID-19, will ensure the long-term success of VETMotorsports. On behalf of our Board of Directors, advisors, and volunteers who share a unique vision for veteran empowerment, and as founder and executive director of VETMotorsports, I encourage you to join our unique mission of outreach that assists Active, Guard, Reserve, Gold Star Families and any veteran with service-connected injuries.

More than 2.8 million Americans have served since 9/11. Among them, 6,840 gave their lives fighting the enemy in Iraq and Afghanistan alone. During that same time, 115,566 veterans gave up their lives to a different enemy; suicide. 18% of all US veteran suicides encompasses a 32% increase since 2001. And though that troubling figure comprises all service members, the percentage of Post 9/11 veterans among them is growing at a precipitous rate; particularly among those aged 18-29.

Why?  It’s known as the military-civilian divide.  A chasm more and more of our Post 9/11 veterans find themselves unable to navigate; one made wide by the effects of the still-misunderstood emotional and physical scars left on them by their service in America's longest war.   But recent research gives us new hope.  It tells us that therapies focused on activity, engagement, and empowerment are the key.

That’s what VETMotorsports is all about.  And we can do more… with your support.

VETMotorsports provides non-clinical, donor-supported therapy across North America.
