YOUR INDIVIDUAL CHALLENGE

VETMotorsports' four-wheel motor sports program takes place in either Autocross (a form of grassroots motor sports that emphasizes safe competition and active participation) or embedding veterans into the team and given active participation as crew members.

Autocross challenges veterans physically and mentally, allowing them to overcome or work through their handicaps. Each event can have up to six disabled veterans per car, with the ability to include more veterans if they choose to compete in their own car. It is anticipated that disabled veterans can participate in the one-day events, usually held on the weekends. Combat veterans are provided on track and in car instruction by VETMotorsports staff and volunteers.

Program participants embedded into teams are given active participation as crew members. Our non-clinical outreach participants perform an array of tasks, from physical / mechanical work to speaking to the general public and media. VETMotorsports provides support as veterans work through any handicaps or disabilities as a crew member of the team. Being a crew member allows veterans to overcome or work through their handicaps and work with their peers in a team setting. Up to three veterans and their families are assigned to each motorcycle. Events typically are three days, usually held on the weekends. Combat Veterans are provided guidance by VETMotorsports staff and our assigned crew chief.
