Motion Pro has joined with Team Ohio Racing / Veterans Empowered Through Motorsports (TOR-VETM) efforts to help empower disabled combat veterans in the AMA Paddock. For the remaining events in 2013, the Harley-Davidson Vance& Hines XR1200 teams partnering with VETM’s outreach (James Gang / Hoban Brothers Racing, Twisted Speed Racing and Motolist.com Racing) will receive Motion Pro product support. Motion Pro has offered to provide those participating teams with the innovative Revolver throttle system, which is a big step forward in controlling the thundering American V-Twins. In addition to the Revolver throttles, participating teams will also have access to the broad range of unique and efficient tools and other products that Motion Pro is famous for. Combat veterans working directly within those teams will be receiving product support as well.
Motion Pro Race Support Manager Chris Van Andel says, "What Pete (Cline, VETM Founder) has been doing, to help out our returning veterans and give them an opportunity to work with some of the best professional race teams in the USA, is a really great thing. We have been helping out the vets with Motion Pro Tech Gloves and other items for some time now, but we had an idea to say thanks to the teams as well that are participating in this program."
Van Andel continued "Reading the responses from the veterans about their experiences at the track is extremely moving. These guys gave their all to protect our country, and to be able to give a little something back to them is very satisfying. The race teams are also making an extra effort to integrate these vets into their program, and really make them a part of it, not just visitors sitting on the sidelines. It's clear that this effort is something that is hugely beneficial to these vets. We wanted to do everything we can to support everyone involved in this great project."
“I connected with Van Andel and Motion Pro prior to our first race in 2012. I really wanted to work with an innovative and passionate American company in the AMA Paddock, and Motion Pro was that company. After the first event, TOR-VETM realized that we were on to something that was positively affecting our combat veteran participants. Motion Pro was there in the beginning, and for them to continue and increase their support to TOR-VETM is phenomenal. Being able to hand a set of Tech Gloves to our veterans is like Christmas for these guys. Providing Revolver throttles and product support to the team owners is icing on the cake” added TOR-VETM Founder Pete Cline.
