AUSTIN, Texas, April 3 2019 – Technology companies Dell Technologies, Kinetica, NEC and Unicom Engineering along with the Yamaha Championship Riding School, will host a social event for the award-winning military non-profit VETMotorsports at the MotoGP Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas April 12-14 at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin.
The event, which will raise awareness for the non-profit’s non-clinical outreach programming, will include pit access, food, beverag and guest appearances throughout the MotoGP weekend.
VETMotorsports engages the military community in transformative motorsports experiences, placing active military, National Guard, Reserve, Gold Star families, and veterans with service-connected injuries and their caregivers inside the ropes and behind the wheel at motor racing events across the country. Since its founding in 2012, the organization has helped more than 200 injured veterans participate in over 80 motorcycle and auto racing events.
To raise money, the companies are selling tickets to a shared suite at the track, along with event sponsorships, with all proceeds going to the non-profit.
“We are so excited because the North American round of the 2019 MotoGP season (Gran Premio de las Americas) will soon be here,” said Marine veteran and VETMotorsports Vice President Joe Bianco, who’s helping to organize the event and will be the non-profit’s on-site representative. “Our technology partners have shown incredible initiative and commitment to our cause by working so hard to put this event together. We’re looking forward to a great event and an exciting race weekend.”
