VETMOTORSPORTS CEO, PROGRAM ALUMNUS TO PRESENT AT LONG BEACH GRAND PRIX SAFETY SEMINAR.

LONG BEACH, California, April 3, 2019 – VETMotorsports Founder and CEO Peter Cline, along with one of the military outreach program’s alumni, will present at the Stand 21 Safety Foundation’s annual “Racing Goes Safer” driver safety seminar on Saturday, April 13 at IndyCar’s Long Beach Grand Prix presented by Acura.

The event, which will raise awareness for the non-profit’s award-winning, non-clinical outreach programming, will feature David Hobbs as the keynote speaker. Hobbs is a retired veteran racer and popular motorsports television analyst. He will talk about motorsports safety from his perspective based on a full career both behind the wheel and behind the microphone, sharing stories from his book HOBBO, Motor Racer, Motor Mouth.

As part of the seminar, Cline and VETMotorsports alumnus, racer and injured veteran Jon Winker will share how VETMotorsports engages injured veterans and the military community in motorsports through their presentation, Finding a New Tribe: Veterans and Motorsports.

VETMotorsports places active military, National Guard, Reserve, Gold Star families, and veterans with service-connected injuries and their caregivers inside the ropes and behind the wheel at motor racing events across the country. Since its founding in 2012, the organization has helped more than 200 injured veterans participate in over 80 motorcycle and auto racing events nationwide.

“We’re honored to be included among such a distinguished lineup of speakers,” said Cline. “The Stand 21 Foundation has shown an admirable commitment to our cause by having us interview our program alumni and discuss how motorsports can connect with the military and veteran community. We’re looking forward to a great event and an exciting race weekend.”

The event will run from 9:00 AM to noon at the (location) and will be followed by informal conversation and a light lunch. Admission is free, but attendees must register and have admission to the Long Beach track in order to attend.
